(MENAFN - UkrinForm) Local authorities have already allocated UAH 106 million for the implementation of local programs to reduce the cost of "warm loans" in 2019, the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine reports.
'Local authorities allocated UAH 106 million for the implementation of almost 60 local programs to reduce the cost of 'warm loans in 2019. This already makes up 65% of the total funding for programs in 2018, the report reads.
This year, the total funding for all local programs is expected to exceed the 2018 figures by 10%.
The State Energy Efficiency Agency notes that 171 local programs to reduce the cost of 'warm loans were launched in 2018, which was 10% more than in 2017. At the same time, UAH 166 million was allocated for their implementation, which was 30% more than in 2017.
In 2018, about 40,000 families received additional compensation for almost UAH 135 million under the warm loans program, whereas in 2017 the amount of compensation from local budgets was UAH 72 million.
As reported, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman wrote on Facebook that since the launch of the warm loans program four years ago the government has helped more than 500,000 Ukrainian families become energy efficient. He reminded that the state budget for 2019 envisages UAH 2 billion for energy efficiency.
