ANKARA, March 20 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's upcoming visit to Turkey will boost bilateral relations, said Chief of the Turkish Directorate General for Press and Information Mehmet Akarca Sunday.

Akarca revealed that both countries were eager to follow up on an agreement signed in 2014 to develop media ties.
Media cooperation plays an important part in the development of relations, said the Turkish official who noted that through this domain, Kuwait and Turkey could look into more means to develop the overall tie linking the two states.
Meanwhile, the Turkish official touched on the importance of unifying the Islamic media front against campaigns aimed at belittling Islam and painting a distorted image of this great faith.
Akarca said that fighting terror groups like the so-called Islamic State (IS) and other similar entities required from Islamic media outlets to stand firm in spreading the true message of Islam to the world.
