(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ADEN, Sept 13 (KUNA) -- Two Yemeni children were killed and third was injured when Iranian-backed Houthi militias shelled a populated neighborhood in the southwestern city of Taez on Friday, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense said.
It added in a statement two children brothers, both less than eight years old, were killed when an artillery shell fired by Houthis from a nearby position hit Sala neighborhood.
Another child was seriously injured in the attack, it added, and was whisked to the general revolution hospital.
The houthis have been bombing populated areas in Taez, which has been under siege of the militias for five years now.
At least 11 civilians were killed and six others injured when the houthis bombarded two residential areas south of Hodeidah earlier today. (end)
