(MENAFN) Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is forecast to break a record in the number of its foreign tourism arrivals in June 2019.
Mayor of Seoul Park Won-soon, addressing a Seoul Metropolitan Council session, assured that the capital could achieve an all-time high to exceed 14 million arrivals.
According to the mayor, "Seoul now ranks seventh worldwide in terms of foreign tourist arrivals. The number reached 13.6 million in 2016 before falling slightly due to the THAAD crisis."
Park added: "this year, the number of foreign tourists is increasing again and expected to top 14 million, setting a new record."
