(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Deputy Parliament speaker Mubarak Al-Khurainej urged MPs Friday to deal with interpellations in a "national responsible spirit" in order to overcome what he called "urgent matters" through wisdom and within constitution.
Al-Khurainej said the domestic political developments might reflect desire of some parties, which he did not name, to push the government towards announcing a government-parliament non-cooperation measure "which will thus lead to either dissolving the governmen or parliament or the two together." The MP, who reiterated that interpellation was an "undisputed" constitutional right for every lawmaker, called on legislators to deal with the grillings in a "national responsible spirit" in order to overcome the political developments "through wisdom and within constitution" and legal framework.
He urged the MPs to place the interest of Kuwait above any other interest.
Al-Khurainej hoped the lawmakers to remain united "regardless of differences of views and positions."
