(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between #Oman and South Korea, a Korean cultural show will be held at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, on April 21. The cultural extravaganza will feature shows by troupes, The Gwangdae, Coreyah, and Morning of Owl.
The Gwangdae will present a variety of traditional performing arts such as pungmulnori (traditional farmers' percussion music and hat spinning dance), talchum (mask dance drama) and pansori (long solo epic song).
Coreyah is a folk music group comprising four traditional musicians as well as a guitarist and a percussionist. Their music is a mix of the traditional and modern. The group has taken part in the 2012 #Belgium
World Music Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013.
The performance by the group will include Let's Make a Feast, Full Moon, A Walk into the Sea and Dondollariyo.
Morning of Owl, unlike ordinary B-boying teams, focuses on storytelling and dramatic interpretation. The group received high praise after premiering Haromonize at the Breakin' Convention, one of the biggest B-boying festival held at Sadler's Theater in the UK.
Entry to the event is free. It will begin at 7.30pm.
