Bargarh National Handloom Summit 2024 Concluded, Paves Growth Path

The Bargarh National Handloom Summit 2024, organized by the Bargarh District Administration in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles and WODC, successfully concluded under the leadership of Monisha Banerjee (IAS), Collector and District Magistrate.
Monisha Banerjee expressed gratitude, highlighting the event's contribution to connecting handloom stakeholders and improving artisans' lives in Western Odisha.
Prahlad Sahai Meena emphasised the significance of handicrafts in Bargarh, where 40,000 families depend on trade. Discussions also focused on preserving the state's handloom heritage, recycling textile fibres, and revitalising traditions to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the fight against climate change.
The summit featured renowned panelists discussing critical handloom industry topics, including market trends, women empowerment, new opportunities, investments, and the online landscape.
