São Paulo – The BID Brazil Exhibition, a Brazilian defense and security event, kicked off on Tuesday (3) at the Ulysses Guimarães convention Center in Brasília, featuring Arab participation. The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC ) has a booth at the event, Arab country delegations are in attendance, and Arab-funded Brazilian companies are exhibitors. The BID Brazil exhibition runs until Thursday (5).

Promoted by the Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries (ABIMDE), the exhibition brings together the leading national companies in the sector and showcases the latest technological innovations in the industry. Its audience primarily includes national and foreign government authorities, military personnel, and industry experts, fostering knowledge exchange, networking, and business opportunities.
The ABCC has an institutional booth and is represented by Institutional Relations Director Fernanda Baltazar and Administrative Analyst Bayram Nofal. Baltazar highlighted that the ABCC maintains a memorandum of understanding and a long-standing partnership with ABIMDE. The organization supports Abimde by engaging Arab authorities in initiatives in Brazil and coordinating agendas in Arab countries.
Baltazar noted that the defense industry is growing in Arab countries, that Brazilian companies operate in the region, and that firms with strong ties to the Arab world are at the show, highlighting the industry's strong focus on innovation. She attended the BID Brazil Exhibition's opening, will participate in other sessions during the event, and is scheduled to give a lecture on Thursday at 11 a.m. as part of the program.
