Enemy Launches 15 Airstrikes In Kupyansk Direction

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The enemy continues to use aviation more actively in Kupyansk direction, launching 15 airstrikes over the past day.

"Over the past day, the enemy tried to attack Kupyansk direction five times. The enemy shelled Ukrainian positions with all types of artillery – from mortars to MLRS – 502 times. Continues to use aviation more actively in this direction. Launched 15 airstrikes," Serhiy Cherevaty, spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said during the United News national telethon.

He noted that 21 occupiers had been killed, 91 wounded, and two captured while repelling the enemy attacks.

In this direction, the defense forces also destroyed enemy equipment: two tanks, three mortars, Pion self-propelled cannon, Tyulpan self-propelled mortar, a brand-new electronic warfare station, Orlan-10 UAV, two Lancet kamikaze drones, three field ammunition depots.

According to the spokesperson for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces, the cutting-edge Russian equipment is not that widespread, it is just being introduced, but the Ukrainian military immediately tries to destroy it.

Cherevaty noted that the defense forces exerted increased firepower in Kupyansk direction, an effective defense system had been built there, and some decisions had been made to reinforce it. According to him, the situation there is difficult but controlled.

"We know their plans, we know the composition of their grouping and their weak points," he emphasized.

Cherevaty also added that there were no combat engagements in Lyman direction, but the enemy was actively hitting Makiyivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk region with artillery and aviation.
