Airstrikes leave 14 soldiers killed in Afghanistan


(MENAFN) The army declared that over 14 militants have died as nine more were wounded as fighting jets targeted Taliban hideouts in Almar district of Faryab province in Afghanistan.

The air attacks, were carried out against Taliban hideouts in many villages of Almar district and in addition to leaving 14 militants dead and nine more wounded, the militants' several trenches and weapon caches were devastated.

Taliban militants, who carry out attacks in parts of the troubled Faryab district and posing threats to provincial capital Maimana very often, are yet to make statements.
