Shell Retains Top Position In Automotive And Industrial Lubricants

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. Shell has
maintained its position as the world's leading supplier of
automotive and industrial oils and fluids, securing the top spot in
all three lubricant categories-consumer automotive, commercial
automotive, and industrial-according to a report by Kline &
Company, Trend
reports.
The company holds an 11.6% global market share, with sales
evenly split across the three segments: 36% consumer automotive,
33% industrial, and 31% commercial automotive.
Shell's product portfolio includes well-known lines such as
Shell Helix, Rimula, Tellus, and Gadus. The company also introduced
an E-Fluids range in 2019, designed to improve efficiency and
sustainability in electric vehicle powertrains and other
applications, such as data centers and battery energy storage
systems.
In support of its target to become a net-zero emissions energy
company by 2050, Shell Lubricants is working to reduce emissions
from its operations and to assist customers in lowering their
carbon footprint. Initiatives include sustainable packaging,
circular solutions, and biodegradable products.
Shell's low-viscosity lubricants can enhance fuel economy by up
to 3% and increase industrial energy efficiency by up to 4%.
