Lubna Al Qasimi: UAE provides AED2.02 billion to help children worldwide

ABU DHABI 19th November 2015 (WAM) -- Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi Minister of International Cooperation and Development and Head of the UAE Committee for the Coordination of Humanitarian Foreign Aid has said that the total aid made by the UAE's humanitarian institutions to support children worldwide amounted to about AED2.02 billion between 2010 and 2014.

In a speech on the occasion of Universal Children's Day which takes place annually on the 20th of November Sheikha Lubna said that supporting children in developing countries is a firm commitment and reflects the philosophy of UAE's wise leadership represented by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
