Saudi Aviation Authorities Say two US Pilots Injured in Plane Crash

(MENAFN- QNA) Saudi aviation authorities said that two US pilots were injured Wednesday when their small plane made an emergency landing after running out of fuel.

The plane had flown in from Egypt's Hurghada airport on the Red Sea, and had been due to land at King Khaled airport in the Saudi capital, Khaled bin Abdullah, a spokesman for the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority, said.

"The plane captain notified air traffic control in the airport about running out of fuel. Two miles before reaching the airport, the plane made an emergency landing," the official added.

The two were taken to a nearby hospital, the official said.
