(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Singapore : On July 8, Singapore Airlines took delivery of its third Boeing 777F. While the airline has its own cargo division, its fleet of relatively new 777 freighters exclusively operates for DHL Express.
The Singapore Airlines 777F departed for its delivery on July 7 from Everett Paine Field at 15:37 local time. The aircraft had a flight time of 15 hours and 48 minutes, and landed at 22:25 local time on July 8.
While the aircraft will operate under Singapore Airlines' air operators' certificate, business will be conducted for global freight and courier service DHL Express.
The partnership between the two firms was announced in March 2022 and will see five new Boeing freighter aircraft fly for DHL.
Thus, there are two more aircraft undelivered as part of this deal.
Reports said that these remaining aircraft will be delivered before the end of 2023.
Commenting on the deal, Robert Hyslop, Executive Vice President for Aviation DHL Express, stated, "Our global DHL Express aviation network consists of a combination of owned and partner airlines, which allows us to respond to increasing customer demand with agility and flexibility."

All five jets will be operated and maintained by Singapore Airlines and sport a dual DHL-Singapore Airlines (SIA) livery.
