PM Shmyhal, U.S. Deputy Secretary Of State Sherman Discuss Energy Infrastructure Restoration, Financial Aid

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has discussed the key war-related challenges with a delegation of high-ranking officials from the United States. The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on telegram , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The terrorist attack on Dnipro once again proved that Russia deliberately kills Ukrainian civilians. Today, we have discussed the key challenges related to Russian aggression with a delegation of U.S. high ranking officials, headed by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman. In the focus of our attention: support for people affected by the war; restoration of the energy sector after attacks; financial assistance,” Shmyhal wrote.
In his words, the Ukrainian authorities also count on the assistance of the United States with Ukraine's reconstruction. The funds will be primarily spent on the reconstruction of the housing stock.
“Grateful to our American partners for their significant and visible support in the struggle against the enemy,” Shmyhal added.
Earlier, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met with the U.S. delegation, headed by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman. Yermak briefed American partners on the key events taking place in Ukraine and around its borders due to Russian armed aggression. He also thanked the United States for providing assistance to Ukraine in its struggle for independence and territorial integrity.
