Man Shoots Himself In The Head, Adding To The Mystifying Suicides In Afghanistan

A 20-year-old man allegedly committed suicide in Afghanistan's northern province, Faryab, according to local sources.

This occurrence reportedly occurred on Friday night, 15 July, in the Shirin Tagab district's Tortakal village in Faryab province.

The media was informed by sources that this young man, Mohammad Essa, was a resident of the said village and committed suicide by shooting a rifle bullet into his head.

This young man committed suicide, although its exact cause and motivation still remain unknown.

In particular, Faryab province in northern Afghanistan is experiencing a rise in suicide occurrences.

In the most recent incident, a 20-year-old man took his own life on Wednesday night by hanging himself in this province's Almar district.

He hanged himself in his chamber and went by the name of Mohammad. His suicide was the result of an undetermined reason.

According to reports, unemployment, poverty, and domestic violence are the three primary causes of suicide in the country, which has seen an upsurge in recent years.
