Charting Qatar's new digital horizon: malomatia

Doha: Last month witnessed a key event of our beloved nation’s advent into the digital era, the Launch of TASMU Platform - a singular platform that unifies various sectors by harnessing the power of ICT, to deliver positive outcomes to the citizens, residents and visitors of Qatar, under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.

The platform is considered to be the driving force for Smart Qatar Program (TASMU).

The milestone event was launched by Minister of Transport and Communications, H E Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti.

Going with the apt title of“The Heartbeat of a Digital Nation”, the event was attended by prominent members of MoTC, Ooredoo, several ministers, high-profile officials, technology firm representatives, as well as many remote guests who watched the launch event via livestreaming online.

malomatia, who played the pivotal role of the Master System Integrator, congratulates MoTC for having these exceptional initiatives that developed Qatar Digital Community and thereby enabling the Smart Qatar program (TASMU) which has accelerated the advancement towards a wholly digital nation.

malomatia has the honour of being a part of this exceptional journey of charting new horizons, by means of two important projects i.e The Digital Farmer Community and Virtual Consultations.

The Digital Farmer Community platform’s aim is to provide the farmers localized agriculture information and crop-specific advice which are extremely beneficial in increasing productivity and reducing operational costs thereby leading to a profit.

The farmer is able to liaise with experts within the platform to ensure that his farm can utilize the benefits provided by various technologies like Satellite, IoT, Image Analytics which enable the farmer to be well prepared by empowering them with the best practices conducted throughout the world. The main objective of the Digital Farmer Community is to create an end-to-end visibility of the overall Agriculture Value Chain.

Virtual Consultation is an important platform that looks to digitizing the health care sector thereby enabling the public to receive medical consultation remotely. The platform enables to keep all the caregivers, medical sessions, and prescriptions on one platform thereby reducing pressure on the physical medical entities by shifting care from the hospital and the clinic remotely towards home as part of the TASMU initiative.

The primary objective of the Virtual Consultation was to reduce pressure on medical facilities, improve response time for patients, increase convenience for patients and doctors

This enabled malomatia to deploy their services as quickly as within a fortnight, with the Virtual Consultation technology being deployed currently in over 325 clinics executing over 70,000 consultations across 30+ distinct medical services - all provided to the public in a seamless manner.
