Turkey to evaluate 'economic, commercial' ties with Israel: Erdogan

(MENAFN) Turkey is prepared to reassess its "economic and commercial" ties with Israel after its snap elections in June 24, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced.

The statement has been made after President Erdogan came back from his visit to Sarajevo where he organized his only campaign rally overseas.

Speaking to reporters, the Turkish president declared that "we will take steps in this direction after the elections."

The president also stated "We are determined to not give up on our rights on Jerusalem," affirming "we will never leave our first qiblah [direction towards which Muslims pray] to the mercy of a state which has been feeding on blood, tears and occupation for decades."
