Azerbaijan Spills Beans On Pre-Eminent Medical Issues

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 18. A critical issue in healthcare is enhancing the knowledge and skills of medical practitioners and their capacity to effectively manage examination and treatment processes utilizing contemporary methodologies, said Executive Director of Azerbaijan's Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) Vugar Gurbanov, Trend reports.

He made this remark during the II panel session titled "New Opportunities in Healthcare" as part of the "Healthcare Management Summit 2024" today.

The official highlighted that, in this scenario, bolstering the material and technical foundation, along with enhancing the quality and effectiveness of services through cutting-edge technologies, is of utmost importance.

"All of this also requires modern management. Proper management of personnel or material and technical resources cannot be successful without senior management. All of this should form a cohesive whole and be shaped into a unified complex.

One of the key healthcare institutions in Azerbaijan, TABIB, is closely monitoring current trends in the field of medicine. Today, TABIB is taking significant steps towards the development of management skills for leaders of subordinate medical institutions, efficient resource management, digitalization of healthcare, implementation of innovative changes, and aligning service standards with modern requirements.

At the same time, in line with today's demands, work is underway on models of cooperation within the healthcare system, opportunities for medical tourism, and public-private partnerships," Gurbanov stressed.

The official pointed out that to sharpen the saw of healthcare institution leaders, under the umbrella of the "Protocol on Educational Services and Scientific Cooperation," inked between the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance of Azerbaijan and Ankara University, a number of training sessions on "Hospital Management" have been rolled out at the university.

"The outcome of these trainings was the signing of a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding between TABIB, the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance, and Ankara University," he added.
