Uzbekistan To Establish Polling Stations Abroad For Parliamentary Election


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 26. The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan will establish polling stations abroad for the upcoming councils and parliamentary election, Trend reports following the CEC's meeting on the creation of polling stations at diplomatic missions and other representations of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.

At the meeting, it was decided to set up 56 polling stations across 39 foreign countries. These polling stations, located at diplomatic missions and other representations, will be affiliated with the territory of Tashkent.

The election of regional, city, and district councils, as well as members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, is scheduled for October 27.

The election will feature participation from several political parties, including the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen – Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the National Revival Democratic Party, the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, and the Social Democratic Party "Adolat."

Each party has successfully collected over 40,000 valid signatures.
