Lithuania Allocates EUR 1M To Restore Okhmatdyt Hospital

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On Wednesday, the Lithuanian government announced the allocation of one million euros to restore the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, which was hit by Russian missiles on July 8.

This was announced by Lithuanian Finance Minister Gintarė Skaistė at a government meeting, Ukrinform reports citing LRT.

“We have received a request for assistance to rebuild the hospital that was shelled in Ukraine, and we propose allocating 1 million euros to help the Ukrainian residents affected by the Russian Federation's military aggression. We want to help Ukraine rebuild its destroyed infrastructure as quickly as possible. We invite other countries to join us,” Skaistė said.

Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė wrote on social media platform X that the Lithuania government“allocated 1 mln EUR to support recovery of Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv and other medical facilities brutally and intentionally shelled by Russia”.

She underscored that the only way to stop the terrorist state is by scaling up support to Ukraine's victory.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the morning of July 8, Russian troops launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine.
