Iran-Oman Business Forum Strengthens Economic Ties, Promotes Mutual Prosperity


(MENAFN) On Monday, the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) hosted a Joint Iran-Oman Business Forum with the aim of strengthening trade relations between the two countries. The forum drew 250 Iranian firms and was attended by members of the Joint Oman-Iran Business Council as well as a delegation of Omani private sector representatives who are participating in Iran Expo 2023.

The forum focused on forming strategic partnerships and conducting B2B meetings to increase investments and business activity in new economic fields. Participants worked to strike business and investment deals that would benefit both countries.

Prior to the forum, ICCIMA Head Gholam-Hossein Shafeie met with his Omani counterpart to discuss ways to promote mutual cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries. During the meeting, Shafeie emphasized the importance of removing trade obstacles and highlighted the potential for multilateral cooperation and joint investments to enable the markets of both countries to take advantage of each other's business opportunities in any situation. The discussions at the forum and the meeting between the heads of the Iranian and Omani business councils demonstrate the commitment of both countries to strengthening their economic ties and promoting mutual prosperity.
