Algeria Evacuates Nationals, Palestinians, Syrians From Sudan


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ALGIERS, April 26 (KUNA) -- A number of Algerian nationals returned to their homeland on Wednesday along with 13 Palestinian nationals and 22 Syrians after evacuation from Sudan as the security situation continues to deteriorate.
Minister of Interior Ibrahim Murad stated in a statement that the evacuation process included members of Algerian diplomatic mission and their families as well as Palestinian and Syrian nationals, and hailed efforts of the Foreign Ministry in the process.
Algerian Ambassador to Sudan Murad Asad commented saying Algeria cares for the wellbeing of its citizens no matter where they are, adding that the evacuation was coordinated with various state bodies. (end)
