Seven Die In Pakistan's Baluchistan As Vehicle Sprayed With Bullets

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Seven people were killed after their vehicle was sprayed with bullets by armed men in Pakistan's Baluchistan province, Zhob district on Thursday.

Levies Forces (a paramilitary gendarmerie in the Pakistani province of Balochistan) said the incident took place in the Khurlam area of Murgha Kibzai, some 80 kilometers from Zhob town, which claimed the lives seven people, including a tribal elder and his two brothers.

Ahmad Khan Kibzai was traveling in his vehicle along with his two brothers and some other people when their vehicle came under attack by unidentified shooters hiding in nearby mountains in Khurlam, located close to the Pakistan-Afghan border. As a result of the shooting, seven people died on the spot and another sustained serious injury.

The cause of the killing was not immediately known, and the investigations are ongoing in this regard officials said. It is reported that Ahmad Khan Kibzai was wanted in many cases by the Levies Force.

Meanwhile, it is believed that Mr. Kibzai also had enmity in the area where he lived, which perhaps resulted in his death and those of others in his circle.

The deteriorating security situation has become a new challenge for the Pakistani government. The Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA) has joined hands with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in launching terror attacks across Pakistan.

Since the banned TTP ended its unilateral ceasefire with the Pakistani government last November, the terrorist group has intensified its attack throughout Pakistan targeting army personnel and policemen.
