Iran ships over USD100M value furniture in 9 months


(MENAFN) Iranian furniture producers have shipped more than USD100 million value of their outputs in the opening nine months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 22, 2022), as shown by the secretary of Iran Wood Industries Employers Association.

Ali Moghanlou stated that the nation’s shipment of furniture in the stated nine months has been over the overall yearly shipments in the prior year, as reported by IRNA.

While giving a speech at a press meeting on the offshoots of the 20th Exhibition of Home and Office Furniture, Decoration and Interior Design, Machineries, Equipment and Accessories (MEDEX 2023), Moghanlou pointed out that chipboards, MDA and HDF boards, as well as all types of sofas and furniture were the main shipped items in the stated period.

He also pointed out that “We have very good producers in the country who have defined good development plans and with the quality development of products, more export opportunities can be presented for this industry.”
