Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul opens Monday’s session on higher note


(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index BIST 100 started the week at 3,202.77 points on Monday, surging 0.72 percent or 22.78 points from the prior end.

The US dollar/Turkish lira selling price jumped to 18.5634 as of 07.53 A M regional time (0453GMT), in comparison to 18.5200 at the prior end.

The euro/Turkish lira trading price saw a surge to reach 18.2482 from 18.1600, whereas a British pound sold for 20.6532 Turkish liras, dropping from 20.7050.

Brent crude oil was trading for nearly USD 87.25 a barrel, surging 2.48 percent, whereas the price of an ounce of gold stood at USD1,664.10.

Financiers are now concentrated on the OPEC+ gathering set on the 5th of October, when the group is anticipated to cut production in November along with its request outlook.

The group had accepted to reduce output by 100,000 barrels a day this month.
