Philippine School Doha Inducts New Set Of PTA Board Of Directors And Officers

Doha: After a three-year delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) of the Philippine School Doha (PSD) has virtually elected its Homeroom PTA (HRPTA) officers on August 20, 2022, where in ten of which were elected to the school's PTA Board of Directors.
Leading the new executive board for this academic year is Engr. Joseph Marius Macaraig, a long time Filipino community leader who also served as part of the school's PTA Board of Directors in the past.
Joining him are returning previous officers Ismael Benavidez Jr, Dennis Robles, and Joseph Timothy Rivera, a former President of the PTA BOD in 2018. New comers include Engr. Mark Anthony Abendan for the Vice President position, Dr. Diane Kristine Joy Bonsol as Secretary, Engr. Mario Oligo as Treasurer and Romeo Manaois as the board's Business Manager. The parent representatives also include Jay Carlo Rivera and Engr. Jayson Gonzalvo.
Complementing the 10-man parent board are appointed teacher representatives namely Apphia Laroa of the Pre School department, Veronica Motol and Maribel Lentejas of the Primary department. Meanwhile, Daryl Benedict Alicamen will represent the Intermediate department, Arnie Gutierrez of Junior High School department and Arlene Aboga of Senior High School department.
On September 1, the new mix of leaders were inducted into office alongside other HRPTA Members with HRPTA Officers. The induction ceremony was conducted in a hybrid fashion, virtually through Zoom while the Board of Directors were inducted face-to-face in the school campus.
President of the PTA Board of Directors and Officers, Engr. Macaraig has also vowed to make efficient use of this term with numerous projects and events already in line.
Activities this year would include the traditional sportsfest, blood donation drives, community outreach programs, online webinars, hosting of community events as well as with high hopes of launching the first PSD PTA BOD Scholar.
Several committees have also been created which involves all 26 nominees of the PTA BOD while all HRPTA presidents were encouraged to be active this year.
