Aqaba, June 26 (Petra) -- Naua, a Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) online social impact platform that aims to promote philanthropy and civic engagement, announced Sunday the opening of a development and training center in Aqaba.
The center was inaugurated in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) under the Social Participation and Community Engagement by Youth (SPACE) project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The announcement came during a press conference attended by representatives from the CPF, Naua, the GIZ, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and several media representatives.
The center will give specialized training sessions to boost the youth's capacities and enhance their skills to better serve the local community in the Aqaba governorate, said Ahmad El Zubi, CEO of Naua.
He added that the center will qualify pre-employment age groups, prepare them for the job market, and help them establish their own projects. It will also provide technical infrastructure and bolster partnerships with the private and public sectors, civil society organizations, and educational sectors.
