Tens of thousands perform Friday noon prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque

Tens of thousands performed the third Friday prayer of Ramadan in Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the Occupation forces attacks on them since the early morning hours. Thousands of residents of Jerusalem, the West bank and the occupied interior, flocked to Al-Aqsa Mosque at dawn hours to perform prayer in Al-Aqsa. The, worshippers, estimated by the Department of Islamic Endowments at about 150,000, were not deterred by the Israeli attacks, which resulted in dozens of injuries among the worshipers. Some of the injuries were described as serious.
Israeli occupation forces had imposed strict measures in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa, and closed all streets, roads and neighborhoods adjacent to the Old City of Jerusalem, as thousands of its members were deployed at the gates of the Old City, roads and streets leading to the mosque, and at its external gates. They conducted searches for the citizens' belongings, and checked their personal identities. The fixed military checkpoints at the main entrances to the city of Jerusalem witnessed significant congestion.
After Friday prayers, many worshipers gathered on the southern staircase chanting slogans in support of al-Aqsa, al-Quds and the resistance.
Thousands of citizens performed the dawn prayer on the third Friday of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque, in response to the calls of activist Jerusalemites, before Israeli occupation forces stormed the mosque and attacked those in it with rubber-coated metal bullets as well as sound and gas bombs, which led to dozens of injuries, some of which were described as serious.
