Qatar - Shura Council speaker meets Turkish counterpart

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Shura Council Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanim met yesterday with Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop on the sidelines of the 143rd meeting of General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union which is being held in the Spanish capital of Madrid. During the meeting, aspects of co-operation and existing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in the parliamentary field and ways to enhance them were reviewed. In addition, the two sides discussed topics on the agenda of the General Assembly. The meeting was attended by Qatar's ambassador to Spain Abdullah bin Ibrahim al-Hamar, HE member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Council's Internal and External Affairs Committee Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri, and HE the Secretary-General of the Council Dr Ahmed bin Nasser al-Fadhala.
