(MENAFN- The Conversation) PhD Researcher in Immunology, Swansea University Profile Articles Activity
Completed my Biochemistry BSc in 2017 in Swansea University, where I was introduced to the world of Immunology. Currently studying for my PhD where I am investigating the changes the immune system experiences in pregnancy. Specifically, I am looking at one particular type of cell called monocytes, and am trying to determine how these cells adapt metabolically to become functionally different in pregnancy.
I have organised the Swansea University Medical School Post-Graduate Research conference (lead in 2019, assisted in 2018). Here, I won the poster presentation session (2018) and runner-up for a flash presentation (2019). I will be presenting a poster at the 17th International Congress of Immunology (IUIS) in Beijing on the 23rd October 2019, highlighting some of my research findings so far.
