Europe: Retail business volume increases


(MENAFN)The eurozone retail trade quantity saw an increase for the second month in a row in March, according to numbers issued by the EU’s statistical authority on Thursday, May 6.
The seasonally attuned volume of retail trade increased by 2.7 percent in the euro area from a month earlier, Eurostat added.
Retail trade amount in the eurozone augmented 4.6 percent for non-food goods and 1 percent for food, drinks and tobacco, while dropping 2.9 percent for automotive fuels.
Retail trade also augmented 2.5 percent in the EU throughout the same period.
