Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani visited the National Museum of Qatar yesterday. The Prime Minister was briefed on a scientific exhibition on ‘sea cows'.
H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, was also present on the occasion.
Later the PM tweeted, 'I visited today, in our National Museum, an important scientific exhibition on 'sea cows', which are one of the environmental species that are particularly linked to the nature of Qatar and the Gulf. We are making strenuous efforts in Qatar to preserve biological and environmental diversity, including drafting a programme to monitor the marine environment, in accordance with the goals set by Qatar National Vision 2030.
