Afghanistan: 21 rebels killed in military actions in Kandahar


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Mar. 9 stated an issued army report that latest assaults by Afghanistan's security forces supported by fighting planes aiming at Taliban hiding places in the southern Kandahar province left a number of 21 militants dead and another 13 wounded.

The report said that the security forces have also disabled 22 anti-vehicle mines and explosive tools in the actions in the province's Arghandab and Zhari districts.

The report further said that the security and defense forces will keep on running after the rebels somewhere else in Kandahar and its vicinity so as to steady peace and the security condition there.

The Taliban group, which has increased activities in Kandahar province throughout the last months, hasn't made any remarks on the army statement.
