Qatar- Third edition of Drama Writers Forum on November 11

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Ministry of Culture and Sports will hold third edition of Drama Writers Forum virtually, due to COVID-19 pandemic, on November 11.

The forum is an opportunity for those in charge of Arab culture and creativity to discuss and review the nation's issues through drama and the cultural change that it can constitute in society. It  also contributes to creating a state of mobility and awareness among writers, in addition to forming positive reflections on the drama in general.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said that the winners of the Doha Prize for Dramatic Writing will be announced after the end of the forum on November 13.

The first edition of the forum was held in 2018. The second was held in 2019 under the title, ‘major perceptions in Arab drama between the current intellectual content and the horizon of aesthetic experience', with the participation of academics, artists, writers, and critics from 14 Arab countries.

Furthermore, the Music Affairs Center of the Ministry of Culture and Sports affirmed its keenness to support all who have the talent to enrich the music scene in the country, by discovering these talents and promoting them technically and in the media to continue their journey in making creative streams for the benefit of the artistic movement in Qatar.

The centre indicated that it provides care and moral support to musical instrument makers who would form an infrastructure based on providing music amateurs and professionals with the tools necessary to practice and promote the oud industry in Qatar.
