Jordan- ACC issues 13196 certificates of origin in 6 months


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, July 18 (Petra) -During the past 6 months, the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) has issued (13196) certificates of origin to export goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries, compared to (16345) certificates for the same period last year, a decrease of (19) percent.
According to statistical data, ACC also said this decrease was accompanied in a drop in in exports during the first half of 2020, which fell to JD392 million, compared to JD489 million for the same period in 2019, a drop by 20 percent.
Certificates of origin issued by the ACC during the 1st half headed to many countries, most notably Saudi Arabia with (2622), the United Arab Emirates with (2237), Qatar (859), Iraq (711), Switzerland with (14).
In terms of value, Iraq topped the list of export destinations with JD96 million worth of goods and commodities,and the UAE and Qatar followed at JD66 million and JD35, respectively.
Saudi Arabia imported goods worth JD32 million and Switzerland at a value of JD28 million, according to the ACC figures.
