Oman- Children's music band to perform for cancer fundraising initiative

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Infinity Band, an all-children professional band, will be organising a fundraiser to support projects of the Oman Cancer Association (OCA). The event will be held on April 26 at Al Falaj Hotel, Ruwi. Apart from bringing new talents on stage through the band, the children want to create awareness among people about the plight and suffering of the children around the world.

'Currently, children who perform in the band are from various Indian schools in Oman. This time, these children have come up with an even nobler cause of being part of the cancer awareness programme. They will conduct a fundraising musical extravaganza 'Panacea 2019' for the Oman Cancer Association,' said Manoj Manuel, programme co-coordinator, Infinity Band.

He added, 'With this event they hope to support cancer patients and survivors and create awareness on early cancer detection.

'Events like these can provide just the encouragement needed for them in bringing about harmony among people around them at a young age and to make this world more beautiful and peaceful in spite of various issues.'

Shaikh Saud al Rawahi, advisor and vice president of OCA, said, 'It is great to see the efforts put in by children during their busy academic schedules. Their support to the community is appreciated and we encourage more youth to come forward.'
