Pakistan: 2 unrelated accidents kill 8, injures 22


(MENAFN) Local media revealed that over eight people have died as 22 more were wounded in two unrelated road crashes in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province on Saturday.

In one accident, more than five people have reportedly died as five more remain in serious state after a rickshaw slammed into an oil tanker driving in the opposite direction on Sargodha road in Sheikhupura, a city in Punjab province.

Police and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene and rushed the victims to the District Headquarters Hospital in the city.

Local media confirmed that police have initiated a probe into the reason behind the crash.
