Ecuador: bus crash kills 7, injures 15


(MENAFN) Ecuador's Transit Commission (CTE) declared that over seven people have died as 15 more were wounded after a bus fell into a ravine in the southern El Oro province of Ecuador.

CTE's director Luis Valenzuela tweeted: "We are currently attending the accident in Balsas with the resources of the CTE."

Integrated Security Service ECU 911 reportedly revealed that the bus was heading on the El Oro-Loja road when it plunged into a ravine at the San Jose sector of the Balsas canton.

Valenzuela added that three police patrol units and two teams of rescuers were dispatched to the spot.
