MES holds Parental Guidance and Awareness Session

MES Indian School organised an orientation cum interactive session for the parents of Class IX students at the KG Auditorium of the school recently, accentuating the importance as well as the necessity of safe handling children and the complexities involved in parenting the students of such age-group.

Addressing a large section of parents, the officiating Principal, Hameeda Kadar elaborated on the stronghold of internet related electronic gadgets over the youngsters and the general prevalence of e-addiction among students, especially those who are in the early teens.

Parents have to be extra vigilant on unacquainted persons, whom their children may befriend through social media and could trespass into the lives of these youngsters, she exhorted.

Speaking on the essentialities of parents exhibiting a balanced attitude and adopting the role of an understanding parent, Mrs.Hameeda Kadar asserted that every parent should aim at winning the trust and confidence of their children by way of treating them in a dignified manner and treating them with due respect.

She also urged the parents to extend support to the collective efforts of the school in its initiative to de-stress students, who are academically challenged.

They were also given parenting tips on confidence building measures to be adopted in order to make their children useful and productive global citizens of tomorrow.
