Kuwait- 148 drug cases recorded in March '17

Officers from the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) registered 148 drug-related cases including drug trafficking and the number of persons accused of involvement in such cases reached 204 in March 2017.

In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media General Department in the Interior Ministry disclosed that DCGD also confiscated 300 grams of hashish, 704.1 kilograms of heroin, 619.2 ice drugs, 1,313 pills containing shabu, two kilograms of marijuana and 593.16 kilograms of chemical substances within the abovementioned period.

The statement confirmed that DCGC has taken the necessary steps to arrest the accomplices of drug dealers and 47 persons were referred to the concerned security department.

The DCGD also received complaints from relatives of drug addicts while 75 drug addicts surrendered and they were referred to specialized centers for rehabilitation.
