Media Network Organizes Legal Exhibition On Anniversary Of Universal Declaration Of Human Rights

Amman, Dec. 12 (Petra)-- In honor of the 76th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Community Media Network hosted a human rights bazaar with the theme "Committed to Human Rights for a Better Life," which was supported by the European Union and attended by several human rights organizations.
With an emphasis on bringing attention to the significance of upholding international humanitarian standards, the bazaar seeks to inform locals and citizens about their rights in a number of areas.
"Our adherence to human rights is an affirmation that international justice and international humanitarian law must be the only compass we cling to, no matter how much war criminals try to ignore them," said Daoud Kuttab, the director general of the Community Media Network, in a statement.
"Despite the challenges, we are committed to celebrating International Human Rights Day," said Ataf Al Roudhan, Director General of Radio Al Balad, highlighting the region's significant challenges due to the persistent abuses and marginalization of human rights. Our dedication to these principles is essential, and we work to guarantee everyone's equal rights in all spheres of life."
In response, Angela Martini, the Chargé d'Affaires of the European Union Mission in Jordan, said she was pleased to see so many people, especially kids, learning about their rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and to witness such a strong interest in human rights.
According to Rawan Nakhleh, a member of the working group, the Community Media Network hopes that by taking part in the bazaar, it will draw attention to its support of both male and female media professionals and give attendees awareness materials that will help them better understand human rights.
