Uzbekistan Railways, Navoi Mining And Metallurgical Company Sign Memorandum Of Co-Op

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 13. Uzbekistan
Railways and Navoi mining and Metallurgical Company (NMMC) signed a
memorandum of cooperation, Trend reports.
The document was signed during a meeting between the
representatives of Uzbekistan Railways and Navoi Mining and
Metallurgical Company.
The paper aims to strengthen mutual ties that will contribute to
further development of both industries, in particular, in the field
of cargo transportation by rail, production and development of
services.
During the meeting, representatives from both entities addressed
matters concerning the timely and efficient organization of rail
cargo transportation, enhancement of transport service quality,
establishment of spare parts production for rolling stock repairs
at machine-building facilities, and issues related to localization
and production improvement.
The delegation of Uzbekistan Railways also visited the
production unit of Navoi Mechanical Plant. The heads of industrial
enterprises exchanged experience, achievements, and plans to expand
production capacities and potential.
