Azerbaijan's State Fund For Environmental Protection Receives Compensation - Deputy Prosecutor General


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The State Fund forEnvironmental Protection has been provided a payment of 2.6 millionmanat in 2023, Deputy Prosecutor General Heydar Mammadov said at aconference in Ganja on May 30, Trend reports.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan held abusiness conference entitled "Environmental offenses: education andlegislative regulation" in Ganja.

Addressing the event, Deputy Prosecutor General of AzerbaijanHeydar Mammadov said that coordinated activity of the state, lawenforcement bodies, and courts, effective environmentallegislation, and legal innovations for a green world are importanton the way to ensuring a clean and healthy environment.

Complex activities continue in this field by the prosecutor'soffice bodies, together with the Ministry of Ecology and otherstate bodies. Work is carried out to solve environmental problems,protect the environment, and restore ecological balance.

“Last year, the Prosecutor General's Office initiated and sentfor investigation 133 criminal cases of environmental offenses,initiated proceedings on 36 cases of administrative offenses, andin 33 cases submitted submissions to the relevant organizations toeliminate violations, causes, and conditions that caused them," headded.
