Al Wakra Municipality Records 17 Violations In June

Doha, Qatar: Al Wakra Municipality, represented by the health Control Department, carried out 1,047 inspection tours of food establishments in June.
Municipal inspectors recorded 17 violations of some provisions Food Control Regulation Law No. 8 of 1990, while reconciliations were made in 21 cases of violations. In a case, the violator was referred to the Police to complete the legal procedures.
The department's veterinarians supervised the work of the automated slaughterhouse in Al Wakra and examined 15,361 carcasses of slaughtered animals to ensure their safety and suitability for human consumption.
A total of 382 carcasses were destroyed and about 38,000 kg of fish was examined in Al Wakra Fish Market.
During the inspection rounds, the municipality inspectors took 29 food samples and sent them to the central laboratory to determine their fitness for human consumption.
The Municipality received 25 complaints related to food, which were responded immediately.
