Qatar Attends Meeting Of Interpol Working Group On Cybercrime


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar is participating in the 14th meeting of the Interpol Middle East and North Africa (Mena) Working Group on Cybercrime for Heads of Units, which started on Monday in Riyadh.
Assistant Director of the Economic and cyber Crimes Combating Department, Maj. Madawi Saeed al-Qahtani, represented the Ministry of Interior in the three-day meeting.
The meeting reviewed the experiences of participating countries in combating cybercrime and international efforts in this field, starting with the development and modernisation of legislation that criminalises and punishes the use of technology in all types of crime and the efforts of police and security personnel in confronting this type of crime.
