Sheikh Dr. Othman Al Khamis Delivers Lecture on Disobedience, Sins at Katara Ramadan Activities


(MENAFN) The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, hosted a lecture by Sheikh Dr. Othman Al Khamis as part of the Katara Ramadan activities under the title "Spring of the Quran." The event was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and the Qimam Center, and it drew a large crowd of attendees. During his lecture, Sheikh Dr. Othman Al Khamis warned against belittling disobedience and sins and underestimating their impact. He emphasized that those who commit minor sins and neglect their repentance often forget them with the passage of time, leading to further transgressions.

Aside from Sheikh Dr. Othman Al Khamis's lecture, the audience at the Cultural Village, Katara, enjoyed other activities such as lectures and intellectual and awareness-raising meetings in various fields. One such lecture was entitled "On the ease of kinship relations in Ramadan," which was presented by Dr. Noureddine Al Khademi at the Katara Novel Library in Building 48. The lecture was part of the "Ramadan Nights in Literature and Culture" event.

Another lecture was given by Dr. Mahmoud Al Derini in Building 18, entitled "The Elderly and Chronic Diseases." Dr. Al Derini exposed diseases that particularly affect the elderly and presented a set of useful health advice to enhance health awareness on the importance of maintaining sound health.

Meanwhile, at Taktara Art Studios, children participated in a workshop by the artist and trainer Dina Hammam entitled "A Gift for Parents." During the workshop, the children were trained in various artistic techniques to create a distinctive artistic project that mixed colors and drawings. The project was designed to be a beautiful gift presented by the children to their parents, promoting the righteousness of parents in children and emphasizing the importance of morals and values in modern child upbringing.

Overall, the Katara Ramadan activities offered a range of events and activities that catered to various interests and ages, promoting cultural awareness and community involvement during the holy month of Ramadan.
