Saudi Shura Council Speaker Takes Part In The 5Th Conference Of Arab Parliament And Arab Councils Speakers

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Cairo, Feb 12, 2023, SPA -- sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the fifth conference of Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo Saturday.
The Conference approved a document entitled 'Parliamentary Vision for Promoting Arab Food Security', to be presented to the leaders of Arab countries during their next session to be held in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The document included the most prominent challenges facing the Arab nation in this aspect. It also included a number of recommendations and parliamentary views that could contribute to addressing the problem of Arab food security, including developing an advanced legislative structure for a more sustainable and resilient Arab food system, the localization of technology, the application of the concept of smart agriculture, and the promotion of Arab investments in the agricultural sector.
