QU College Of Business And Economics Holds Event On Marketing, Brand Building

Doha: Several student clubs in Qatar University (QU), including the Marketing Club, the Marketing and Management Club and the Business Club, in the College of Business and Economics, organised a marketing event entitled 'Let's talk about marketing,' which saw the participation of around 500 students from the college.

During the event, students presented their graduation projects in front of a committee of faculty members in the department. The poster projects covered a variety of marketing topics, including details about the role of marketing in the building of a brand and its success.

The event included a competition to select the best graduation projects with cash prizes to further motivate the students. In addition to the presentation of the posters, the event included a series of sessions from marketing and HR experts to give students an overview of the reality of the marketing field and to showcase job opportunities in the Qatari labour market.

In her speech on the occasion, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, Prof. Rana Sobh said,“The organisation of this event comes within the framework of the College of Business and Economics keenness to support and link the academic aspects of courses with applied aspects, in addition to our endeavour to provide opportunities for our students to compete and interact with the business world and apply their ideas on ground. The event was also an opportunity to provide our students with a deeper understanding of the marketing major and highlight its importance in the success of organisations.”
