Ambassador's Walking Football Event Concludes

Doha: The Ambassador's Walking Football event was held recently with great enthusiasm where Ambassadors played with high spirit as the country hosts the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. 

The event was organised by the International Walking Football Federation Asia and Qatar.

Among the participants were El Salvador Ambassador to Qatar H E Milton Alcides Magana, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Qatar H E Arman Issagaliyev, Nigeria Ambassador to Qatar H E Yakuba Abdullahi Ahmed, North Macedonia Ambassador to Qatar, H E Shabaan Jashari and Peru Ambassador to Qatar H E Jose Benzaquen.

Also, Brunei Ambassador to Qatar H E Mohamed Bahrin, Kyrgyzstan Ambassador to Qatar H E Chyngys Eshimbekov, Algeria Ambassador to Qatar H E Dr. Mustafa Boutoura, Haiti Ambassador to Qatar H.E Francois Guillaume II and Libya Ambassador to Qatar H E Mohamed Al Lafi joined along with International Walking Football Federation (IWFF) Asia and Qatar President Farhan Al Sheikh Al Sayed and officials from the said embassies.

El Salvador Ambassador received the best player medal, while North Macedonia Ambassador received the highest goal scorer medal.

Walking Football is the fastest growing sports concept in the world. Its safe approach to the game, with fast walking and no tackling is gaining momentum among the Ambassadors, locals and different communities in Qatar. 

The sport is attracting both genders, with age categories 30+, 40+, 50+ and 60+.
